Constitutive modelling of the dynamical properties of a filled rubber and simulation of laminated devices with a specific FEM tool

Abstract

A constitutive modelling of the behaviour of a filled rubber is proposed in order to describe its dynamical properties under large strain on a wide range of amplitudes and several frequencies. The model is able to take into account several phenomena experimentally observed such as the Payne effect. The model is then implemented in two FEM codes and simulations of laminated devices under multi-axial loading are performed. One of these FEM tools uses a model reduction strategy that provides a significant time saving and gives good correlation with the experiment.
