The potential use of ontologies for characterizing and interpreting features

Résumé

With this presentation we would like to introduce the discussion on three main subjects —> the first one refers to the notion of detection which covers various approaches and which is the subject of misunderstanding from one study to anothe. Of course this has an impact on the interpreted results —> the second one is referring to the theoretical framework needed to establish cross-cultural comparison based on lidar data —> finally, these two issues should open the debate on advanced theoretical insights regarding landscape formation as it is studied through lidar data.
